I know I have told you all how pleased we were with the Convention, but having seen AgentsNews I felt bad that I didn’t send you a formal email thanking yourself (Paul Waite), Tracy, Carolyn & Rayma and the whole ANF team for a fantastic convention. The response we had was fantastic and we felt that the ANF went above and beyond to ensure that it was a success for us. We come away [with] many new business opportunities and are looking forward to a strong future with the Newsagent segment. Congratulations on a job well done.

What a wonderful & professional conference you conducted. I would like to write this letter personally to thank Rayma and her dedicated team at the ANF for making this years conference such a success. The dedication by our National body to ensure the conference was what Newsagents wanted in content was certainly appreciated.

The workshop format was a huge success and gave Newsagents, both young and old, the opportunity to actively participate in whatever session they chose to attend. I know I have taken many pages of notes and will be implementing many ideas when I return to my business.
I have attended many conferences over the past 12 years and this one has outshone all others, both in content and with the positive vibe that surrounded the event. It is amazing what can be achieved when all parties are working together collectively to improve our industry.

I would like to congratulate Chris and Julie Leonidas at South Eastern Distribution Services in Victoria for taking home the Australian Title for distribution and also Karen, Phil and Damien Vanden Bergh from West Wyalong Newsagency for taking home the National Retail Award. I spoke at length with Damien, Chris and Julie over the course of the conference and they certainly deserve all the success that comes their way for the next 12 months and beyond.

I would also like to thank the judging panel that took the time out of their busy schedules to analyse our business. It is not often you get the opportunity to present your business at a National level to so many industry partners and give them a snapshot of what your business is achieving.

Finally and most importantly, I would like to thank all of the sponsors associated with this year’s conference. It would be impossible to stage such an event without their help. The Platinum sponsors, Hallmark Cards & News Ltd need special mention for obvious reasons; as do the Gold and Silver Sponsors, however it takes all the sponsors to have made the 2007 National Conference a resounding success.

This is just a short note to say congratulations on a magnificent result for this year’s Newsagents Industry Convention. I was pleased to be a part of it and I thank you for having me.

I have been involved with a number of Industry Conventions covering Real Estate, Liquor, Urban Planning, Health and other industries for the past 20 years, and never have I known the overall buzz to be as good as it was at the ANF Convention.

A result like that can only be achieved when everybody is doing the right thing and with you (Rayma) at the helm the buck stops with you. Well done. It was lovely to meet you and I’m sure ANF will go from strength to strength.
