2007 Highlights

The 2007 ANF Newsagents' Convention, held at the Mariott Resort & Spa in Surfers Paradise and themed 'Break Through', was a resounding success with the majority of attendees rating it as a 5/5 event.

The Workshop format that introduced at this Convention was extremely well-received. Newsagents were able to choose which Workshop sessions they would like to attend according to their individual needs, with the timetable allowing for repeats of sessions in case one is missed.

Each Workshop had at least one presenter or facilitator to lead discussions into a particular topic, ranging from Developing your Distribution Business and Magazine Master Class to Strategic Newsagency Management using Best Practice in IT.

According to the survey participants, the greatest benefit from the Convention was the opportunity for networking, where newsagents could have face-to-face contact with suppliers, the ANF and other like-minded newsagents. ANF members can log in and view further details of the survey results here.
