Representation and Advice

There are many issues that affect both the day-to-day and long-term operations of a newsagency. These range from the Trade Practices Act to supply of product through to industrial relations matters. In its role as the voice of the industry, the ANF regularly makes representation to the Government, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), publishers, distributors and other suppliers, seeking the best possible outcomes for its Members. ANF staff are always available to advise and help Members achieve the maximum from their business. Sometimes, just having someone to talk to about a problem or an idea, results in satisfaction for an ANF Member.

Specific areas in which the ANF provides representation and advice for their members are:

  1. Contracts
  2. Government
  3. Trade Practices Act
